Basic shop. Won’t come here again as they won’t let you use your own products. I’m not going to use inferior oil or parts so they can make profit off of items that aren’t as good. The labor cost are outrageous and not worth the $150 an hr charge.
We do not install customer supplied parts for a variety of reasons. First, in order to provide you a warranty our warranty company requires us to supply the part. Second, experience has shown us that customers are not versed in the intricacies involved in ordering parts. As such, they will more times than not bring us the wrong part or a cheaply made part. This slows down the entire operation. We only have 5 bays and can not afford to have a bay down waiting on the correct part. Finally, yes we do make a profit on the parts we sell. Profit is the reason we come to work everyday. I think you’re going to be surprised to find that most if not every shop in the area has the same no customer supplied parts policy. If they don’t, they probably won’t be around for too long because… profit. I think it’s pretty petty to leave a bad review for a company because you don’t like the policies. Do you leave Outback Steakhouse a bad review because they won’t let you bring your own steak? Not everybody is our customer, and that’s ok.
