Came in 8/2 for oil change and inspection. When I left the shop I noticed my car was leaking oil. I called and brought the car back in for STR to look at again. They stated that it was probably from the oil drain plug or maybe the oil pan itself, which was aftermarket. The mechanic even wrote on my notes the car was leaking when i came in. I knew my car was not leaking before I brought it in. I declined the service and I told them I would take my car to the shop I was going too before them. Upon review at my normal shop they discovered the drain plug was not tightend all the way. I only stopped by STR because they were kind enough to reach out to me.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you encountered after your visit on 8/2. At STR, we strive to provide the highest quality service, and we appreciate your feedback as it helps us improve. After reviewing your situation, we want to clarify that we took pictures of the aftermarket magnetic drain plug leaking before we began our service. As part of our standard procedure, we replaced the o-ring on the drain plug and tightened it to factory specifications. We also ran the vehicle for 3 minutes after the oil change to ensure there were no leaks. We understand how frustrating it can be to have an issue arise, and we're sorry that you experienced this. If there is anything further we can do to address your concerns or assist you, please don't hesitate to reach out. We value your business and hope to have the opportunity to serve you again in the future.
